MODE OF CALCULATION OF ESTIMATED CONSUMPTION

HERON applies a clearer, friendlier and simpler mode for calculating “estimated consumption bills”. This does more than merely allowing you to cross-reference details – it also gives you the ability to calculate estimated consumption amounts yourself before your estimated bills are issued.

RESULTING BILL

This is the resulting bill after HEDNO’s metering, which includes the value of consumption for the entire period up to the last metering.

The amount for consumption billed in the interim estimated bills is deducted from the amount in actual consumption bills.

Sent every four months (except for supply connections with monthly metering).

ESTIMATED CONSUMPTION BILL

This is the bill presenting the estimated consumption of electricity over the course of the previous month.

The estimated bill is an estimation of the energy consumed during a certain period and depends on your consumption habits.

Sent on a monthly basis.

FEATURES

MODE OF CALCULATION OF HERON ESTIMATED BILLS

We calculate the value of daily consumption (kWh divided by the number of days) in the most recent actual consumption bill issued for a supply connection.

FEATURES

MODE OF CALCULATION OF HERON ESTIMATED BILLS

The value of “estimated consumption” is produced by multiplying the abovementioned value of daily consumption with the number of days in the estimated bill.

FEATURES

MODE OF CALCULATION OF HERON ESTIMATED BILLS

Each estimated bill clearly states the value of daily consumption.

MODE OF CALCULATION OF HERON ESTIMATED BILLS

Each actual consumption bill clearly states the daily consumption that will stand as the basis of calculation for the next estimated bills.

ESTIMATED BILL FAQs

HERON established a clearer and fairer way for calculating estimated bills, so the amounts will correspond to actual consumption. This allows you to calculate and prioritise everything in your life clearly and not by estimation.

Are estimated daily consumptions fixed?

No. A new calculation takes place with each issuance of actual consumption bills, in order for estimated bills to always follow your new consumption profiles.

Are there any other changes made in how estimated bills are calculated?

No. The only thing changed is the mode for calculating estimated consumption, namely the estimated consumption of electricity in kWh.

Does this method affect the calculation process of actual consumption for my supply connection?

No. The process is the same as it always was – your actual consumption is still metered by HEDNO every four months (except for supply connections with monthly metering) and its value is offset (deducted) against the final amount of your respective actual consumption.

Why is there an indication of “daily consumption of next estimated bills” in my actual consumption bill, when I have a monthly metering / actual calculation cycle?

In rare cases where we are incapable of issuing actual consumption bills (e.g. due to metering inability), we issue estimated bills.

How is daily consumption calculated if there are no actual consumption bills issued by HERON?

By taking into account daily consumption according to historical consumption data from your supply connection (source: HEDNO). In the absence of available information (e.g. new supply connection), daily consumption is calculated according to the type of bill and the agreed capacity of your supply connection.

How is daily consumption calculated if there isn’t any past metering information available?

In rare cases of supply connections with no past metering information available (e.g. new supply connections), the daily consumption (kWh/day) is calculated according to the table below based on the type of bill and the agreed capacity of your supply connection.

What happens in cases of augmented daily consumption for my next estimated bills, which is calculated according to my actual consumption bills or historical consumption data of my supply connection?

If your daily consumption is more than 30% of that specified in the table “estimated daily consumption (kWh/day)” (see FAQ No. 7), the value of this table will be considered as your daily consumption in the next estimated bills.

*Depending on the type of bill of your supply connection, your consumption can be either daily (MWh/day) or night (off-peak) consumption (MWh/day).
