HERON and ELINOIL announce a strategic partnership for the supply of electricity and natural gas to the Greek market. Specifically, as part of the alliance, HERON will supply ELINOIL with electricity and natural gas, which ELINOIL will provide to its customers.
The strategic goals of this partnership include access of customers to a wide range of energy products, expansion of the sales network, and utilization and use of alternative retail networks.
HERON was founded by the GEK TERNA Group, which holds a leading position in the sector of conventional and renewable energy sources (RES) production in Greece and internationally, while ENGIE, the largest independent producer and supplier of electricity worldwide, also participates in the company’s capital share. HERON is one of the largest and most reliable companies in the sector of production, supply and marketing of electricity, as well as in the supply and marketing of natural gas.
ELINOIL, operating in the sectors of liquid fuel and lubricants marketing, currently holds a market share of 10% in the Greek market. It has an extensive network of 620 associated and self-organised gas stations throughout Greece. ELINOIL is a leader in meeting the energy needs of the Greek industry in liquid-solid fuel and lubricants, and since 1954 has been continuously supporting the industry as the most reliable energy consultant. The company also plays an important role in the sector of marine tourism, which it supplies with fuel and lubricants through a coastal network of more than 140 Elin gas stations, as well as through the state-of-the-art yacht supply stations built and operated in our country's boatyards.
