This programme is part of HERON’s corporate social responsibility actions and aims to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life for residents our country’s borderline islands (Kimolos, Folegandros, Sikinos, Schinoussa, Patmos, Arkioi, Leipsoi, Agathonisi, etc.), assisting in the efforts to ensure equal access to medical services, training and education for the residents of the borderline islands of the Aegean Archipelago.
The organisation +plefsi (Symplefsi) is a non-profit organisation of volunteer physicians, with the purpose to support and upgrade the quality of life of residents of the Greek borderline islands. Being purely voluntary, η +plefsi organises activities throughout the year with the purpose of making the most valuable contribution possible to the borderline islands. The purpose is to improve the quality of life of the residents of the borderline islands first of all through the provision of free medical examinations and the provision of infrastructure in local communities.
