The 71st Horse Race Derby of OPAP was held with great success on Wednesday 5 July in Markopoulo Attica, sponsored by HERON.
A great – whole day event – celebration was held, signifying a new era in the Greek Horse Races, with impressive races, happenings and further activities, where HERON, as a Grand Sponsor, was present, awarding the best demonstrated horse of the races, as well as the winner of the first horse race – the HERON HORSE RACE.
As part of the HERON – OPAP cooperation, HERON, as the Grand Sponsor of the 71st Horse Race Derby of OPAP, welcomed its guests by providing information and all the latest news on the electricity market, while also informing about the energy-saving solutions offered by HERON.
More than 6.000 spectators, horse race fans, representatives of the state, political parties, the business and media worlds, athletes and artists stormed the benches and watched an exceptionally organised horse race event, including a total of seven races with a rich spectacle and strong emotions. Apart from the horse races, spectators also watched a horseriding show by professional horse riders, as well as an impressive demonstration of motor sport, with kart cross vehicles and professional drivers on specially designed tracks.
